Joann Marie Ferguson is the owner and Chef. She began cooking over 20 years ago.
Although she did attend Culinary school, Joann attributes all her cooking skills to her
Italian Mother and Grandmother. Although Joann has made quite a few culinary
accomplishments of her own, her Italian heritage is evident in much of the cooking.
Mary D Serritella, Joann's grandmother was a school teacher and master in the
kitchen. Everything was from scratch, she canned, baked, and inspired all of her
friends and family to learn to cook. She wrote a cookbook that has been kept in the
family so when she passed in 1994 her recipes continue to live as well as the
memory of her sweet demeanor and love of food. She was well known by the whole
neighborhood for her culinary masterpieces and Gianna's Catering Thanks her for all
her wonderful old world Recipes.
